Our mission is simple – to collect, preserve, archive, and disseminate geological data. We are proud to be the premier geological data repository of the mid-continent region of the United States. Our facility houses significant historical geological data resources that are used for researching past exploration activities in the pursuit of new opportunities.

Our dedicated team is committed to providing the best services to our members and patrons.
Membership in the Mid-Continent Geological Library is open to anyone. While our library primarily serves energy industry professionals who join on an annual membership basis, we also welcome members of the public. Whether you’re looking to gain full access to our resources as a member or simply wish to pay a daily use fee, we are here to accommodate your needs.
Speaking of resources, we have an extensive library that offers a diverse range of research materials. From geological reports and maps to LAS files and digitized curves, you’ll find what you need to support your research endeavors. We even provide LAS file conversion services on a quick turnaround and at competitive rates per digitized curve.
In addition to our physical library, we are proud to offer the MCGL Digital Library. New data is added to our online library daily, and you never know when that image you’re searching for will be uploaded. So make sure to check back frequently!
Our library operates Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. During these hours, you can visit our facility, explore our resources, and take advantage of our knowledgeable staff.
